Attorney Robert Boyle: "This is Shane's shot": Why the July 15 hearing is important

WHAT: Evidentiary hearing for Shane Watson

WHERE: Bronx Supreme Court, 265 East 161st Street, Bronx, NY
                Courtroom of Judge Richard Price

WHEN: Monday, July 15, 2013 @ 11:00 AM

WHAT IT MEANS:The purpose of this hearing is to present the judge with our best NEW evidence, in the hope of the judge granting Shane a new trial. The evidence we present must be evidence that was NOT introduced at Shane's 1993 trial.

According to our attorney Robert Boyle, "99% of cases in which defendants seek to overturn convictions don't make it this far. This hearing, and the subsequent hearings (if granted by the judge) represents our opportunity. This is Shane's shot (at freedom)."

  • attend the hearing to support Shane
  • help us to raise the needed $12,000 for remaining legal expenses. If you are reading this you have probably already made one or more financial donations to The Opus 30 Mission, and that is greatly appreciated. We all have our own personal and financial pressures and limitations. Perhaps you can reach out to an individual or organization (a house of worship, a corporation, etc.) for financial support. Donations can be easily made on this blog via PayPal.
  • pray, meditate
  • write to Shane: Mr. Shane Watson, 93A9384, Green Haven Correctional Facility, PO Box 4000, Stormville, NY 12582
