An update on the status of the case: today our attorney Robert Boyle confirmed that his formal response to the Bronx District Attorney's office's recent reply to our motion to vacate Shane's conviction is due on April 29. Accordingly, Mr. Boyle's reply will outline the foundation of our case based upon the new evidence compiled by our investigator Doug Walters. This all sets the stage for a hearing in court, which Shane has been long been waiting for.
In the meantime, I urge everyone to
1) stay in touch with Shane with letters. The address is
Mr. Shane Watson
Green Haven Correctional Facility
PO Box 4000
Stormville, NY 12582
2) look for ways to raise contributions towards Shane's legal expenses. (Donations can be made easily on www.opusthirty.blogspot.com)
3) Contact any news/media outlets or persons in order to increase public awareness of Shane's story.
